In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Message of Salvation
O Lord! Whom do I need when I have You, and how beautiful is having hope in You and being disappointed about others.
You said,” Call me (and) I will answer you”(1); I heard Your call and came to You. Sometimes when I am hardly struggling in the swamp of disobedience, I find nothing better than Your name and remembrance. How blissful it is when I see miracles from asking for help from Your loved ones. Indeed asking for help from those approved and sent by You, results in nothing but hope and joy!
One day a man who was among the lovers of Imam Hassan al-Askari (PBUH) and used to make rings came to the Imam (PBUH) and said,” O son of the Messenger of Allah! The Caliph has given me a big, valuable piece of turquoise to have an encryption on it. But when I put iron over it, it got cut in half. I fear that this leads to me being perished. So pray for me.
Imam al-Askari (PBUH) replied,” There is no fear for you with the will of Allah (SWT)”.
In fact, Imam al-Askari (PBUH) conveyed his belief with a deep understanding to the man, and tried to calm the man down with relying on Allah (SWT) and a firm faith in Him. This actually happened, as there was no sign of anguish on the man’s face when he left.
The man narrates:” I went back home. The Caliph asked for me the next day and told me,” I have to servants who are fighting with each other over this stone, and they would not give up unless you cut it into two halves”.
So I returned to my house and made two rings using the two halves of the stone, and took them to the Caliph. The two servants were satisfied, and the Caliph honored me because of that. So I thanked Allah (SWT) for this”.
Indeed, besides explaining and preaching the teachings of Islam, the Ahl al-Bait (PUBT) have always asked their companions and followers to rely on Allah (SWT) and hold onto Him. Verily tranquility is not reachable except through remembrance of Allah (SWT) and relying on Him.
